The Zen way of Tea, taking time out for tea in the afternoon is an ancient method of destressing the mind and taking time for appreciation of the Zen values of purity, tranquillity, harmony and reverance.

Make yourself a cup of herbal tea ā€“ green tea is wonderful for the mind. You can use an old cup, always sit in the same spot to drink it, try to do this at a regular time and allow yourself to be at one with all the zen that is in the tea-nature of your cup of tea while you take a break from the world.

Turmeric Tea

This is my daily Turmeric tea concoction: a level teaspoon of organic Turmeric powder, in a cup of just off-the-boil hot water and squeezed lemon juice to taste. Let the boiled water cool a little in the cup, Turmeric is more effective in suspension in slightly cooled boiled water, squeeze fresh lemon juice to your taste and then briskly stir in the Turmeric.

Less than a teaspoon a day of turmeric appears to significantly lower the DNA mutating ability of cancer-causing substances.
